It is common knowledge that WKK builds punching tools. What only a few people know: We also build our own apps. Read the interview with project manager Daniel Geu to find out what makes the new Timeline app so unique.
Daniel, in a few words: What can the Timeline app do?
With Timeline, our employees can quickly and intuitively find out about our punched parts and punching tools.
What is special about the new app?
The app gets the information from various systems. On the one hand from our ERP proAlpha and our quality programme CAQ. In addition, we tap into our existing apps "CIP" and "tool repairs" as a data source. With Timeline, we are taking a big step in our knowledge management.
Why do you call the app "Timeline"?
Our punching jobs are mostly recurring. That's why the history of a part or tool is very interesting. In the app, different events can be displayed side by side on a timeline. The employee can see when production took place, when tool maintenance took place, any CIPs and complaints are also visible. With one click, further information on the individual events, including pictures, can be displayed. Until now, it was very time-consuming to search for this information in the individual systems and to create an overview. Now this is possible with just a few clicks.
